Chesapeake Energy (CHK) reported that the Meek 41 9H well drilled into the Hogshooter Wash produced an average of 1,900 barrels of oil equivalent (BOE) per day during the first 27 days of production.
The production was composed of 1,300 barrels of oil, 365 barrels of natural gas liquids and 1.4 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. Chesapeake Energy said that the Meek 41 9H well is currently producing 1,400 BOE per day.
The Meek 41 9H well was drilled and completed approximately five miles from the Thurman Horn 406H well, which produced 7,350 BOE per day during the first eight days of production.
Chesapeake Energy has also drilled the Zybach 6010H and the Hamilton 39 10H wells into the Hogshooter Wash and is waiting for completion services on these two wells. The company has 65 drilling locations into the Hogshooter Wash on its acreage in Oklahoma.
