Chesapeake Energy (CHK) reported an update on the Thurman Horn 406H well drilled and completed into the Hogshooter Wash in Texas. The well had average production of 7,350 barrels of oil equivalent (BOE) per day during the first eight days of production.
The Thurman Horn 406H well is currently producing 5,100 BOE per day with a 65% liquids composition. The well has cumulative production of 265,000 barrels of oil, 65,000 barrels of natural gas liquids and 350 million cubic feet of natural gas.
Chesapeake Energy reported that the Zybach 6010H well into the Hogshooter Wash has production of 2,400 BOE per day. The Meek 41 9H, which is the company’s first well drilled and completed into the Hogshooter Wash, is currently producing 720 BOE per day after 90 days of production.
Chesapeake Energy is currently drilling the Meek 41 10H and the Thurman Horn 4010H wells and plans to drill 11 additional 11 Hogshooter Wash wells before the end of 2012.
