QEP Resources (QEP) released an operational update on its development activities during the third quarter of 2010, and disclosed additional information on the Granite Wash and other wash plays located in the Anadarko Basin. The company has 27,000 net acres in Texas, and 8,000 net acres in Oklahoma that are prospective for the Granite Wash.
QEP Resources reported net production of 35 million cubic feet of natural gas equivalents per day from the Granite Wash, and has three wells either being drilled or undergoing completion operations.
QEP Resources reported the completion of two wells to the Atoka Wash in Wheeler County, Texas.
The Methodist Home 2-5H well was put onto sales in August 2010, and produced at a peak daily rate of 8.4 million cubic feet per day of natural gas, 1,081 barrels per day of natural gas liquids and 176 barrels per day of oil.
The Huff 34-6 H well was put onto sales in September 2010, and produced at a peak daily rate of 11.4 million cubic feet per day of natural gas, 607 barrels per day of natural gas liquids and 58 barrels per day of oil.
