Forest Oil (FST) completed seven horizontal Granite Wash wells in the third quarter of 2011, and reported an average initial production rate of fifteen million cubic feet of natural gas equivalents per day from these wells. The average liquids content of the wells was 45%.
One of these wells was a real gusher and tested at a twenty four hour production rate of thirty one million cubic feet of natural gas equivalents per day. This well targeted the Granite Wash C zone and has a 40% liquids content.
Forest Oil has 103,000 net acres in the Texas Panhandle that are prospective for the Granite Wash and is active in Wheeler and Hemphill Counties.
